Liner and lip colour finish a painted face. They are the last five minutes, and they are the five minutes that photograph.

A neon liner under a blacklight does something no pot of paint can do. A matte lip palette holds a hard edge where a lipstick would creep. Neither is meant for a full face; they are detail tools on top of one.
